Overview of Sustainability Activities of the Fashion Group
This autumn, S. Oliver Group published its first sustainability report. According to the company’s press release, the report covers the fiscal year 2023.
It provides a comprehensive overview of the fashion group’s sustainability activities, highlighting both key successes and challenges. The report also outlines a future plan for the company group.
Foundation for Sustainability Management
Regarding the importance of sustainability, Sabrina Müller, Head of Global Sustainability at S. Oliver Group, states: “Sustainability is an integral part of our company values and our identity. We aim to make a positive contribution, provide impulses, and advocate for change beyond legal requirements.”
Müller expresses confidence that circular business models not only offer sustainable solutions but also open up new revenue opportunities. She adds that continuous reporting is the foundation for successful and credible sustainability management.
In its press release, the S. Oliver Group emphasizes that responsibility has always been a central part of its corporate culture.
Future Regular Reporting
S. Oliver highlights that it began comprehensive sustainability reporting early on – even before the obligation under the European Directive (CSRD). The company has always advocated for a harmonized sustainability reporting across the EU. It also sees mandatory sustainability reporting as an opportunity for a future-proof industry.
The family-owned business states that it will continue to report annually on the progress of its sustainability activities. The next sustainability report is scheduled for 2025.
