Logistics Expert Takes Over Leadership of Strategy & Transformation at Otto Group
As of October 1, 2024, the position of Chief Strategy Officer at Otto Group will be filled. Olaf Schabirosky will assume leadership of the Strategy & Transformation division at the Hamburg-based retail group.
The position became vacant following the death of Christoph Schulte, who held the role of Chief Strategy Officer until the summer.
Long-Term Experience at Otto Group
According to the company, Olaf Schabirosky has worked at Otto Group for many years and has held various positions.
Since 2014, Schabirosky has played a key role in shaping logistics at Hermes Germany, reports Otto Group in its press release. At Hermes, Schabirosky held roles as CFO & Services Chief Digital Officer and continued to rise. In 2018, he was appointed CEO of Hermes Germany.
Petra Scharner-Wolff, who will become CEO of Otto Group in March 2025, states: “With Olaf Schabirosky, we have gained a versatile retail and logistics expert with deep knowledge of the company.”
New CEO at Hermes Germany
Olaf Schabirosky’s successor at Hermes Germany will be Dennis Kollmann. Starting October 1, this year, Kollmann will take over as CEO of Hermes Germany. Currently, Kollmann serves as CSO at Hermes Germany. According to Otto Group, Kollmann has had a long career with the German Hermes Group.
