Kloepfel Consulting, a management consultancy specializing in supply chains, surveyed 119 companies across all industries online from July 04, 2022 to July 12, 2022 about the looming energy crisis.
42% find energy policy of the federal government mediocre
As good to very good assesses every fourth respondent the crisis management of the federal government of an energy crisis looming in the coming winter. 42% find the crisis management mediocre. Just under one in three respondents says the federal government is doing a poor job.
68% can only partially prepare for an energy crisis
One in ten respondents to this snap survey say they can prepare for an impending energy crisis. 68% can only do so partially and 22% don’t know.
63% expect partial production losses
32% of respondents anticipate production losses. 63% estimate that their production will be partially down. Only 5% are very optimistic and do not expect their production to falter.
51% do not have a person with expertise in the subject of energy
51% state that their company does not have a person with expertise in energy. In contrast, 49% have such an expert.
53% think that energy should not be rationed for consumers at present
More than one in three (37%) respondents think it is right for electricity to be rationed for consumers right now. Just over half (53%) disagree and think that electricity for consumers should not be rationed right now. One in ten abstain on this question.
