How a Trainee grows through practical projects at Kloepfel Engineering<\/h2>\n

Can you tell us about your time as a trainee at Kloepfel Engineering and describe your specific tasks and role?<\/h3>\nKonstantin Rudel<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
During my time as a trainee, I went through various departments, including two weeks at Kloepfel Engineering. \nInitially, the focus was on introducing me to engineering in general. I was introduced to the tool by Manfred Esser, which allows for creating cost calculations from various complex constructions. Additionally, the tool enables an international comparison of labor costs. This enables precise pricing of the product to position it in the market and enter negotiations successfully. \nIn the second week, the task was to disassemble an engine weighing about six kilograms. Together with a colleague, who is also seen in the photos, I dismantled the engine into individual parts. This helped me understand the performance capabilities of an engine and how it operates. The individual parts were then incorporated into the cost calculation. This way, we could determine which components could be optimized.<\/p>\n
What technical skills or knowledge have you acquired through participation in this project?<\/h3>\n
Since I had little prior knowledge in this area, I was able to build a basic understanding, such as how cash discounts are included in an offer, what machines exist, or how measurements are taken. All of this can be calculated by Manfred Esser’s tool.<\/p>\n
Can you give an example of successful teamwork during the project?<\/h3>\n
During the project of dismantling the engine, we divided the tasks. \nMy colleague divided the engine into three parts, which I further disassembled into individual parts. Meanwhile, my colleague answered my questions and entered the information into the tool. Then, the individual costs were calculated. There was good synergy between us.<\/p>\n
What specific problems arose during the project and how did you deal with them?<\/h3>\n
Regarding teamwork, no problems arose. However, I encountered difficulties in further dismantling the engine. We then successfully solved this problem as a team. I was confident that we could overcome the problem together.<\/p>\n
Has participation in the project fostered your personal and professional development?<\/h3>\n
Yes, participation in the project sparked my personal interest in further engaging with technology. Professionally, I gained technical know-how and a better understanding of cost composition as a result.<\/p>\n
